ANOKHI Magazine is North America’s leading Fashion, Lifestyle & Entertainment Magazine. In an industry where the average lifespan of a print magazine is only a couple years, ANOKHI has thrived for 9 years and is still running strong.
In 2009, I was approached to revamp their online presence. Their existing site consisted of only a few static pages, with no real content or user “stickiness”, i.e. there was no reason for someone to go to their site more than once. The new site was to be heavily content-based, with featured articles, regular articles, blogs, as well as video and social media integration.
Because there were numerous important events on the horizon, I had a very short deadline of approximately 3 weeks to re-structure, design and launch the new web site.
I created something which efficiently laid out all variations of their content, while still keeping room for advertisers from the magazine. I used dark/vivid colors in the headers and headings to give it some edge, as the magazine is known for it.
The new site launched in late 2009, and has received numerous positive reviews from international and local media, subscribers, and general visitors.
